Voltaren Emulgel contains Diclofenac Sodium.
Compared to Voltaren Gel 1%, Voltaren Gel 2% contains twice the concentration of the active ingredient Diclofenac Diethylamine.
Voltaren Emulgel extended-release for up to 12 hours relieves joint and muscle pain twice as strong as Voltaren Gel 1%.
Diclofenac penetrates deep into the skin and relieves pain for up to 12 hours.
Topical diclofenac penetrates deeply into the skin and targets delivery directly to the affected tissue below the treated area.

Indications:

• Used Voltaren Emulgel to treat pain and inflammation of muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments, due to sprains and strains, sports injuries (e.g. tennis elbow) and soft tissue rheumatism (e.g. bursitis; tendinitis).



Point of interest:

• Voltaren Emulgel does not have a strong odour, and usually an amount ranging in size from a cherry to a walnut will be enough, but it will depend on the size of the affected area.



Side effects of voltaren emulgel:

• Skin irritation or redness.

• Topical application reduces the risk of certain side effects, such as cardiovascular and gastrointestinal, compared with oral NSAIDs.



Cautions:

You should not use Voltaren Emulgel if:

• You are allergic to diclofenac, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol or any of the other ingredients.

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• You have ever had an asthma attack or allergic reaction after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs such as diclofenac or ibuprofen.
